Medical World will only ship products under the following terms and conditions:
Medical World accepts no liability for the use of any products supplied.
In any event we disclaim any liability for consequential loss and we disclaim any liability for loss of profit or any other loss except if law allows it.
Medical World is not responsible for dispatch delays caused from temporary delays in the delivery of the requested products from the manufacturer or any alternative delays from third parties.
Whilst we use all reasonable efforts to provide the services we offer, our liability in so far as we can exclude it in law, is so excluded except up to the amount of monies paid to us by you for the service or goods in question.
No warranties whether express or implied are given in relation to this site or the services it offers.
We ship from the United Kingdom and VAT is not included in our on-screen prices prior to adding to the shopping cart.
Delivery of Products
Due to the nature of many of our products we will only deliver items to the billing address. The time for delivery will not be essential to the contract between us. Orders dispatched during peak periods, such as before Christmas, may take several days longer than usual for delivery. Please contact us if your order has not arrived within 5 working days.
Our stock levels are always high; however we cannot always guarantee immediate availability of all items. Should an item be out of stock, we will do our utmost to advise you of the anticipated delivery time and to get the item to you in the shortest time possible. In the case of NON-STOCK medical equipment and furniture please ask what the expected delivery date will be.
Medical product orders under the value of £100 will be subject to a shipping charge. Convenient Shopping orders are subject to a shipping charge calculated by the relevant weight of the product.
Delivery of orders online is to Mainland UK only. We can ship to Scottish Highlands and Offshore Islands, but please do not order online as shipping will be insufficiently calculated and we will not proceed with your order. Please telephone us for further details.
Product Specification
Whilst every effort has been made to ensure the details and specifications provided by the Medical World website are correct, they may be altered without prior notice.
Personal Liability
In the case of vitamins and supplements, Medical World will ship products with the assumption that the customer has discussed the purchase with their doctor as to any possible interactions with pharmaceuticals and /or any existing medical conditions. Medical World accepts no liability for any adverse reactions to products supplied. Please understand that due to strict government regulations, we cannot prescribe, diagnose or treat any diseases or illness. Any questions relating to illness or diseases are best addressed by your doctor. We claim no specific advantages relevant to individuals.
Conditions of Returns
Please email us (enquiries@medical-world.biz) and let us know you wish to return part or all of your purchase and clearly explain the reason for the return. Be sure to include your name, address and the consignment number from the packing slip included with your order. State clearly the product name and catalogue number, date ordered and the method of payment. No goods will be accepted for credit unless prior arrangement has been agreed with us. Please apply in writing should you wish to return any item. Orders will only be agreed and accepted for return if goods and packaging are received in perfect condition.
Please use 1st Class Mail or Registered Mail to return any items. Please email us at enquiries@medical-world.biz if you have any questions regarding the return of any item.
Products purchased from the Convenient Shopping department are covered by a 7 day from date of purchase return policy. If you find that you are not satisfied with your purchase and the reason for return is not due to an error on our part (e.g. you ordered it and later decide that you no longer want it), you may return it and we will gladly credit you credit card, minus any shipping or handling charges. A standard handling fee of £5 shall be levied against goods returned that are found not to be faulty.
For undamaged items they must be in the original packing materials, and any other materials that came with the item, the product must be received in MINT RESTOCKABLE CONDITION. We reserve the right to apply up to our replacement cost of the item if it is damaged as a result of improper packing. For damaged items being returned, the packing policy above applies to prevent further damage.
In the case of NON-STOCK medical equipment and furniture, these items are special order and cannot be returned. This does not affect you statutory rights.
Damaged In Shipment
We value your custom and it is important to us that you are completely satisfied with each purchase. For that reason, we ask that upon receipt of shipment you carefully inspect all merchandise for damage so that we can take immediate action if it becomes necessary.
If you find that any portion of your purchase has been damaged in shipment please notify us within 48 hours of receipt (enquiries@medical-world.biz) this is very important, we only have 48 hours to inform the carrier of the claim, therefore after 48 hours a claim cannot be made. We will then begin the process to have the merchandise returned within five days of notification. Damaged merchandise presented for return must be accompanied by a copy of the original shipment receipt. Please see the Conditions of Returns information above.
Shipping Errors
If you need to return an item due to an error on our part (e.g. we accidentally sent the wrong merchandise) please accept our apologies. We will accept full responsibility for re-shipping the right product to you. For information on how to return an item to us see the Conditions of Return section above.
Medical Practitioners
www.medical-world.biz online shopping will take instant payment via credit card for all items purchased. However, if you are a Medical Practitioner you can open a 30 day credit account for purchases not made online; just contact us via telephone or fax.
General
- The products advertised in the website are intended for sale to persons
dealing as consumers and are not for re-sale.
- The contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 shall not apply to any
contract between us, so that no contractual rights are conferred on third
parties.
- Any contract between us shall incorporate these terms and conditions and
be under English law. If there is any dispute, the English Courts will have
exclusive jurisdiction.
Alteration of service or amendments to the conditions
We reserve the right to make changes to these terms and conditions at any time. You will be subject to the terms and conditions in force at the time that you order goods from us, unless any change to those policies or these conditions is required to be made by law or government authority (in which case it will apply to orders previously placed by you.) If any of these conditions is deemed invalid, void or for any reasons unenforceable, that condition will be deemed severable and will not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining condition.
